All the progressive ideas they had for improving the game were scrapped, cause they couldn't balance them. Disheartening I'd say.
Medium Glyphs? Sigh. Major Glyphs are already vanilla and minor glyphs are mostly wasted. The current major glyphs should be "medium" ones and major glyphs should be something special. Bring back some of the path of the titans ideas. Get a vanilla glyph grouping (i.e. a particular spell) and quest for rare materials to custom craft it.
I don't understand the "50%" more loot thing...that could be a total of 3 items dropped for 25 man, which would just kill 25 man raiding, or it could mean 7 to 8 items dropped which could really "overgear" raiding.

Dont hang your hat on all the changes you are seeing. There will be plenty more coming. They have scrapped the Titan path thing already. I still expect to see some kind of viable 'hook' for 25s. When they promise a release date, I'll get more on the bandwagon, until then I'm just gonna worry about 3.3.5 and the LK. --  Is this thing on?

By way of being more specific, I was referring to the potential aesthetic changes, i.e. scenery, which no doubt are long overdue. :-O I am LOVING the guild rep idea! lol I need to get exalted with Thunderhorne!!! hahaha that just tickles me!!! Not to crazy about their 10 vs 25 raid idea though... :-/ I like it just fine the way it is... Course I love the glyphs change idea... I get more stuff to make!!! However nothing will ever beat the ability to fly in Azeroth. *excited* All in all I am very excited about the new expansion. Thought of making a new thread, then decided against it.
I really don't like the new talent trees being kicked around on the beta. Blizzard deleted my comments on how to improve it from their forums. I think they must've run out of ideas for the various classes as they want to cut the talent trees down to 31 talent points. You'll have to spend 31 talent points in one tree before you can branch out. Also because there are going to be less talents, you'll only get a new talent point every other level (between 10-85).
I don't understand this trend to "dumb" down the game. The way the talent trees are proposed, it's pretty obvious what you need to choose for your spec. So why even have us choose if there really is no choice?
Anyways, it's my opinion that if Blizzard wants to cut the trees down to 31 points, they've got to develop new talents, and lots of them. Why take twice as long to get talents you already had access to in WotLK? I've really only focused on reviewing priest talents, but Blizzard pretty much kept the talent trees the same, minus the stat builders, and threw in one or two new talents here and there. I don't know why they want priests to cast the same spells consecutively either. Maybe it's part of their new campaign to get "boredom in the zone." Yeah I want to spam the same spell over and over again to proc my talent ability, which likely just buffs that same spell so I have to keep casting it. It's way more fun when you have a group of about 6 spells and you have to figure out how to most efficiently utilize them (be it dpsing or healing).
I can only hope they'll come to their senses and make some improvements before the Cataclysm release.

Hmmm.... maybe they're just trying to get rid of the stuff no one uses? I know in the Resto Druid tree last expansion they cut the Improved MoW talent to 2 points maxed instead of 5 points maxed. Are they doing anything like that in beta or are they simply removing talents entirely? I'm sort of indifferent about the Every-other lvl = point thing since most the time I forget to put my points in for 2-3 levels anwyays. lol Are they still doing the no more spell power all intellect thing? Stat builders are out in the beta talents. If you improve crit, int, stam, sp, or whatever it's probably gone. Blizzard has stated these are "boring" talents and removed all (or nearly) all of them. Many talents have had there points cut as very few require five talent points to max out. Many of the talents that were cut previously (in WotLK) are the same for the 31 talent builds.

Post it again. Someone will see it and maybe it will gain some legs, such as the 50K+ posts to shoot down RealID posting full names. /Meh who knows? Anyway, on the Cata stuff. I am collecting many of my own opinions on the proposed changes but will still hold my tongue until I hear a 'confirmed' release date. The only opinion I'll toss out there is, I think they still have much more work to do to 'fine tune' everything and I really dont think the release will be as soon as some folks seem to think. I'd imagine we'll see the confirmed or near-confirmed release date during October's Blizzcon for Cataclysm. --  Is this thing on?

Yea I'm all over WoWhead right now but they're talent tree thing isn't really working for me too well. I'm still browsing. AND ZOMG THE CREATURES IN ULDUM LOOK FUCKING AWESOME!!!!
