MT and all but 1 healer stack in the middle. Bloodlust at about 25% Bloodlust early so everyone gets full benefit. Armies of the dead at around 10% ??
If you get Infected, you need to run to the OT who will be kiting slimes around the edge. There the healer will cleanse you, you poop out a slime, and you run back to the middle. After 3 of these slimes drop, may need another healer to assist on the OT.
Slime Spray: Every 20 seconds Rotface will start a 1.5 second cast on a targetted player. Everyone except that person needs to immediately run through Rotface to avoid the AoE. THE TARGETTED PLAYER SHOULD WAIT UNTIL HE STARTS TO SPRAY BEFORE MOVING.
OT: Tank will be kiting the slime which will get bigger as it absorbs more slimes. At 5, it will do a 4 second cast and then explode spraying crud to randomly targetted people. Since everyone is stacked in the middle, everyone just needs to scatter until the slime stream hit, and then collapse back in the middle. Also, a quadrant of the room will fill with an Ooze Flood. The OT should avoid kiting in a flooded location.
at :43 you see what happens if you're not in melee.
Their entire positioning is pretty fubar for the Slime Spray, but the healers seem to be keeping up with it anyway. This fight looks like the damage has been nerfed from the PTR.
Tricky parts for this fight are that if you get infected, you need to run in between the OT and the Slime, and wait to either be cleansed, or for the debuff to wear off. THEN, you need to stand there letting the slime hit you until it is absorbed by the other slime. This goes against everything DPS has ingrained in them. So is a bigger challenge then it sounds.
The other biggest thing, is that as the fight goes on, the speed at which he infects increases. So during the last 25% or so, it becomes a nightmare.

You can say that again brother...

I think we got the hang of running in front of the slime and waiting around until they join.
Now we need to crank up the dps and avoid the Slime Spray.
I have scoured the logs for us and a few other guilds and I can say with "absolute certainty"* that the Slime spawns increase over time and are not related to the bosses health. What does that mean? At around 1:15 into the fight, only 4 people will have gotten the Mutated Infection debuff and poop a slime. At around 2:30, about 11 slimes will have spawned. At about 3:30, it's 17. Now it starts to get nuts. 4:00 = 22 4:25 = 26
A total of 6 little oozes causes the explosion.
Soo..... This is really a soft enrage. Thinking that 2 tanks, 2 healers might be needed.
To kill him in about 3:30 we'll need ~40k dps. If we assume Blackmail is doing around 1600, that means 38,400 / 6 = 6400 each...
To kill him in about 4:00 we'll need ~35k dps. If we assume Blackmail is doing around 1600, that means 33,400 / 6 = 5567 each...
I think towards the end, we'll need to just spread out a bit and nuke the crap out of him while ignoring little slimes.
It does around 6k per second. If you are currently Infected, you will also have 50% reduced healing. If a slime gets near you, you will also take another 2-6k per second.
You just need to watch who he is targetting. If he targets anyone except Blackmail, he is casting his slime. Just step through him, or side-step so you're not in front of him then.
It's pretty easy to avoid, and if we 2-heal this like it seems we'll need to do, there likely won't many spare GCDs to heal people besides the tank and the Infected.
Can the large slime be slowed to make it easier for the kite tank to dodge? Frostbolt/Frost Mage would come to mind as the most likely to be available to a raid group. I'm guessing NO, but thought I'd ask anyways.
Late night group was seeing some slow progression on this fight.
Our biggest issue is mutated people need to merge their slimes ASAP. As the mutations start speeding up, you gotta know exactly where to run with no hesitations. Too many people not knowing where to go is killing us as the mutation speed increases.
WHen you get mutated, you need to run in front of the path the big slime is roaming. You need to always know where that big slime is.
If there is no big slime, then you gotta merge your little slime with the next person's little slime to make the big one.
EVERYBODY needs to know where these people are at all times. Cameras must be set to max range or you will not see it.
As an FYI, as the time between mutations speeds up, we will see more than one person infected at a time. If you were the first and we get another, I WILL be dispelling you and it will be YOUR responsibility to kite your little slime to the big one.
I can;t keep two people healed with the mutation while worrying about dispelling.
Let's try bribing him with a cookie and see if he'll just go away.
Early group didn't make much progress with him. It wasn't a complete loss though, we learned that a certain Tree..err..Bear can't tank the slimes to save his life (or the raids...)
Is there a macro that can be setup to target the infected then dispel?
For me I could handle the dispels, but acquiring the infected target and dispelling at the proper time (plus dodging and avoiding) really didn't leave me with much time to throw heals.
Slowing the slime down.
I asked this question before, and got no response. As the slime gets bigger, I get the impression he moves faster (and hit harder) as that's when the tank tends to get caught. Other than the pipe slime is there no other way to slow it down. Mind Flay, Slow Spell, frost mage/frostbolts, totems. One well timed slowing spell could buy the tank enough time to avoid getting hit/faceplanted. Most arcane mages don't spec for Slow, but it tends to work on most elite mobs where other spells of a similar nature do not.
Pipe Slime.
I noticed that the slime pours from the pipes about 4 seconds prior to the area flooding, and if you see it and react immediately, you can generally get out of the area before you get caught.

Bloodgore was on Dispell you were responsible for the MT. Also Moribund I notice many many times how you would not stack with the rest of the group in the middle? Everybody but the OT and the ppl with Mutated Infection should be with the group in the middle.
When did you ask this question? Did you actually ask in vent or was it lost in raid chat?
Our most successful attempt was with the following setup.
Vordin- OT (Slime Kiter) Bloodgore Healing Vordin and both of them dispell when needed Blackmail-MT Moribund healing him and rolling shields on Raid members as needed Picknick -Raid Heals Feelmywand, Verteska, Hendu, Jovion and Mirelle DPS.
According to the WoL our final attempt was the best. I'am confident when we return we shall down Rotface.
In the late group Runesteel had some success in slowing down the smaller slimes with chains of ice, so they are susceptible to some forms of snaring. I do not know if that is the case as they get bigger, but I would imagine not so much.
I just viewed the WoL from the Late group and it seems you guys were able to keep going a bit longer then us. How did you have everyone positioned Thunderhorne?
